Gentle, loving, patent, nurturing, and forgiving begin to tell the characteristics we search out when hiring for any position at CMCA. We believe that every individual working with us, regardless of job title, must possess these qualities. Our hiring process begins with the character of the individual, fully vetted to ensure your child’s safety, and then verify the technical skills needed to perform the tasks required. It is our honor and responsibility as teachers and support staff to provide for your child’s education, skill development, character enrichment, spiritual growth and safety.
FACULTY & STAFF
My name is Shannon Nuckols. I am a certified Arkansas elementary school teacher and hold an Early Childhood degree. I have worked in education for 20 years as a preschool teacher, a teacher in a Christian elementary school, and public schools. I have also been a school principal and superintendent of a Montessori Charter School.
I discovered my passion for Montessori by seeing my son's love of learning blossom when enrolled in a Montessori school. I began my studies in Montessori at the Montessori Institute of North Texas and received my diploma through Association Montessori Internationale. I later pursued my Master's degree in education with an emphasis in Montessori Integrative Learning.
During my free time, I enjoy reading God's word, participating in my local church, spending time with family, cooking, and making Montessori materials.
PRIMARY ROOM TEACHER
My name is Miss Amanda and I joined CMCA in 2019. I have previously worked for an elementary 21st Century Learning Center for ten years. I am currently pursuing my Child Development Associate license for early childhood. I do believe that early childhood teachers lay the foundation for a child to willingly further their education.
Some of my favorites:
I paint, design and have fun crafting as a hobby.
My favorite colors are teal and maroon.
I love to travel and explore new places
My favorite season is fall.
Teachers are a special breed and by helping just one child, you really make a difference. We are what helps make them, them.
